Update: Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson has clarified what he said about playing through a concussion.

“I want to clear up what I said during today’s interviews: I didn’t play through a concussion at anytime last year. I did sustain one during a game, left & did not return. I was cleared to play by our team doctors every time I played the rest of the season,” he tweeted.

Earlier: Ohio State‘s TreVeyon Henderson had a stunning admission about the 2021 season during an interview on Thursday. The breakout star apparently played through a concussion during a game last season.

“I had a concussion. Played through that. Played through a concussion,” Henderson said. “During the game I still had the side effects of it. I don’t think I want to talk about what I was going through during the game. I played through a concussion. I didn’t really know at first, but I knew. I played through it. As long as I can run I’ll play through it.”

Henderson later revealed that he passed concussion testing protocols by the Ohio State medical staff. But he clearly still felt side effects in the next game.
