By losing against El Salvador (2-0) in the second day of the qualifying round of the Women’s World Cup India 2022, the Haitian selection of under 17 years, in group H, missed a great opportunity to qualify for the second round of the competition on Tuesday night.

At the Panamericano stadium, two days after their victory against Cuba, the Haitian girls lost (0-2) against El Salvador, match counting for the second day of group H, last phase of the India 2022 World Cup qualifiers, Concacaf zone. Haiti played a game almost without flavor, and this poor performance was punished by a first achievement of the Salvadoran soccer selection at the 26th minute of play through Anika Berger. The referee whistled the end of the first half with the score at one goal to zero.

At the resumption, it is the Salvadorans who will still surprise the Grenadians by making the break before the hour of play thanks to a goal signed Mia Arevalo (2-0, 59′). And despite several changes made by the technician Harold Edma, the grenadiers did not succeed in erasing even the zero of the scoreboard. In the end, a logical defeat against an opponent much better than Haiti.

With 2 points on the counter, Haiti is still 2nd. For its third match, the national 11 will challenge Guatemala on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Estadio Olimpico Felix Sanchez at 4 pm.
