Arcahaie FC did not succeed in its entry in group B this Friday afternoon by dropping (1-2) against Atletico Vega Real in the opening match of the twenty-fourth and last edition of the CFU Championship played in Dominican Republic, at the Estadio Cibao.

For their first match in the CFU Championship in Dominican land, David Chedson Thelemaque and his group missed their entry against Atletico Vega Real (2-1) in group B, in the opening match of the competition. The Archeloise team conceded the opening goal on a nice left foot shot in the area of Fritz Gérald Gedna (0-1 , 21′) before conceding a second goal in the extra time on a lobbed shot of Jarol Herrera at about twenty meters from the goal kept by Gooly Elien (0-2 , 45′ + 1)

With a very good start to the second half, Arcahaie FC managed to reduce the score through Walny Bien-Aimé on a ball badly cleared by the opponent’s defense. He dribbled his opponent and then placed the ball in the right place (1-2, 65′). The Archelois tried to get back on the scoreboard but they could not find the breakthrough. Their efforts remained in vain until the end of the game. Final score 2-1

With 0 point, Arcahaie FC has one last chance which is none other than a victory in the second and final day of Group B to hope at least the second place.
