The final of the Champions Trophy 2022 scheduled for Saturday, July 31 at the Bloomfield stadium in Tel Aviv, Israel, between Paris St. Germain, the French champion, and Fc Nantes, winner of the French National Cup, could be boycotted by the group of ultras of the Nantes club of the Loire Brigade, following the relocation of the match. For these Ultras, it is a lack of respect towards the fans and supporters of French soccer.
This final between PSG and Fc Nantes, the 46th edition, is a remake of the 1995 final, 27 years later. It will be played one week before the opening of the new season, scheduled for August 6. PSG will be looking for an eleventh title while the Canaries want to win the fourth in their history.
Note that the defending champion Lille, in 2021, was a finalist in the first edition in 1955.
The record holder of the Champions Trophy is none other than PSG with 10 titles, including 8 in a row (2013-2020).
Remember that the three formations that have won the most Champions Trophy are: PSG (10) titles, including 8 in a row (2013-2020), 95 and 98; Olympique Lyonnais, 6 titles in a row (2002-2007) and the Greens of Ste Etienne, 5 trophies (1957, 1962, 1967, 1968, 1969).
