For the thirty-eighth and last day of the Ligue 2 BKT, Carlens Arcus’ AJ Auxerre put his duty to the test this Saturday by beating Amiens (2-1). But despite this success, Auxerre will play in the play-offs, because AC Ajaccio, 2nd, beat the champion Toulouse 1-0 and validates its ticket to the Ligue 1 next season.

AJA, which did not have its destiny in hand, needed a victory while hoping for a draw or a defeat of AC Ajaccio to accompany Toulouse FC in Ligue 1. A dream pushed back by AC Ajaccio, who made Toulouse fall 1-0.

The Blue and White did the right thing by dominating Amiens 2-1 thanks to Gauthier Hein (1-0, 32′) and Gaëtan Charbonnier (2-0, 62′). The visitors reduced the gap in the 82nd through Mustapha Sangaré (1-2). Carlens Arcus played the whole game.

With 74 points, AJ Auxerre is the first team not to go directly to Ligue 1.
To validate their rise in the elite, Auxerre will have to go through the play-offs and will have as opponent Paris FC or FC Sochaux – Montbéliard next Friday, May 20 in its home stadium Abbé Deschamps.
