This Saturday, at the Celigny Complex, the Haitian selection of women’s basketball 3×3 recorded a second consecutive defeat at the Caribbean Games, group A, Guadeloupe 2022. Garry Danastor’s team lost 15-7 to the host team of the tournament, Guadeloupe.
After losing their first game against Trinidad and Tobago (10-7), the Haitian team was aiming to beat their second game to get back into the tournament, but they lost again to the host team, Guadeloupe, this time by a much larger score with a difference of 8 points (15-7).
Trailing throughout the game, the score was even 9-2 in favor of Guadeloupe, the Haitians fought as much as they could without succeeding in closing the gap. Final score (15-7).
Despite two consecutive setbacks and ranked last in Group A, the Haitian women’s 3×2 basketball team has qualified for the quarterfinals. It will face this Saturday afternoon the Dominican Republic.
