In the cadet male category, Collège Jacques Roumain won the seventeenth edition of the Interschool Basketball Championship organized by the CIBA, at the expense of Collège Mixte De Ronsard at the CFC premises in Babiole. The men of Nesky Lizaire won 52 -47 with a great Samy Similien author of 27 points in this final.

The two teams had faced each other in the group phase, a game that had turned in favor of the College Jacques Roumain (35 – 33).
