In Dominican land as part of the last phase of the Concacaf zone qualifiers for the World Cup India 2022, the Haitian women’s under 17 selection has succeeded in beating Cuba (2-0) in group H, at the Estadio Panamericano, Saturday, April 23, 2022.
For their first outing in the last phase of the World Cup India 2022 qualifiers, without shining, the little grenadiers won their first three points against their Cuban counterparts with a small victory of two goals to zero.
Less than 15 minutes before halftime, Harold Edma’s team broke the deadlock through Chrislove Caremus before Walandjina Cyriaque doubled the score 9 minutes later (2-0, 43′). The Haitians return to the locker room with a two-goal lead.
In the second act, the Haitian selection has well controlled its opponent without however managing to increase its lead and the game ended on the score of the first half (2-0).
Against a very weak opposition, Haiti takes the three points. Its next outing is scheduled for this Tuesday, April 26, 2022 against El Salvador winner of Guatemala (6-0).
