El Paso Locomotive needed only one short goal in the last 15 minutes of the game to defeat Sacramento Republic FC on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in their 12th regular season United Soccer League match in the Western Conference in the United States.

Entering in the 66th minute in place of Grenadian Christiano Francois, who did not have a great game, defender Andrew Thomas Philip Fox, scored the winning goal in the 75th minute following a good service from Dylan Mares. The visitors played the last ten minutes with a numerical disadvantage following the expulsion of its Honduran striker Douglas Francisco Martinez Juarez (81′).

With this victory, El Paso occupies the 6th place with 16 points, followed by his opponent of the day, 7th with 15 points. Next Saturday, May 21, Christiano François and EPL will play away against Orange County Soccer at 10 am.
