FC Valour took the three points of the victory against FC Forge (1-0). Phillip Dos Santos’s colts recorded a second success in a row.
This Wednesday, June 29, 2022, in a match counting for the thirteenth episode of the Canadian Premier League, FC Valour traveled to the Tim Hortons Stadium to challenge FC Forge. This match was especially marked by the Haitian-Haitian duel between Garven-Michée Metusala, back from injury, and Andrew Jean-Baptiste, both of whom were starters for their respective clubs. The latter won against the former on the smallest of scores (1-0). The goal came in the 62nd minute, on an offer from young Sean Rea to William Akio. Reduced to 10 men following the expulsion of their striker Walter Benjamin Ponce Gallardo in the 82nd minute, the visitors did not give up and went to the end of their mission.
Note that Andrew Jean-Baptiste played the entire game, while in front, Garven-Michée Metusala was replaced by the Canadian of Haitian origin, Woobens Pacius (69′).
After this result, FC Valour is in 6th place in the standings with 16 points while having a game in hand. FC Forge, with 3 games in hand, is in 4th place while waiting for the match between HFX Wanderers and Atletico Ottawa on Thursday.
