The Danish Nicolai Baden Frederiksen opened the scoring in the 16th minute after a penalty kick was saved by the goalkeeper. The latter then came up and pushed the ball into the net (1-0). The team of Vitesse d’Arnhem did not succeed in extending the score and went back to the locker room with this meager advantage (0-1).

In the second half, VVV Venlo came back with a goal from Nick Venema (55′, 1-1). After the equalizer, both teams showed a lot, and finally it was Carlens Arcus’ teammates who took the lead again with a goal from Maximilian Wittek (1-2). This time, VVV – Venlo did not take long to equalize, as the Eerste Divisie (D2) team only needed two minutes to do so. Kees De Boer (76′, 2-2). This will be the score until the end.

Vitesse Arnhem will continue its summer preparation next Tuesday against OFI Crete at 1:30 pm.
