The Normalization Committee of the Haitian Football Federation announced via a note published on its Facebook page the withdrawal of the Haitian selection of soccer under 20 years in the qualifiers for the men’s World Cup of this category to be held in Honduras from June 18 to July 3, 2022.
For reasons “beyond its control”, the Haitian Federation of Football through its committee of normalization has declined the participation of the men’s team of under 20 years in the qualifiers for the cup, CONCACAF zone, which will be held in Honduran land from June 18 to July 3, 2022.
“The FHF informs the great family of soccer and the public in general that it is in the obligation to decline the participation of Haiti in the qualifiers for the World Cup U20 men for reasons beyond its control,” she said.
In the note, the officials of the Normalization Committee say that the FHF remains focused on ongoing activities as part of the participation of the grenadiers and grenadières in the League of Nations of CONCACAF, the final phase of the qualifiers for the Women’s World Cup Australia / New Zealand 2023 and other future competitions. It asks the Haitian people to support the national teams that participate in international competitions in order to make the Haitian bicolor shine.
As a reminder, Haiti was placed in Group F with Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago and Suriname.
