The team of Safa Sporting Club was beaten this Sunday at home by Tripoli SC (1-2) in the first day of the Lebanese first league soccer, relegation group, despite the expulsion of Mohamed Tarcha Ben at the beginning of the first half. Fredlin Francois Monpremier, in his first game on Lebanese soil, made the nets tremble.

Fredlin Francois Monpremier’s new club Al Safa, who are playing in the relegation playoffs in the Lebanese first division, failed to defeat Tripoli SC (1-2) playing with a numerical disadvantage three minutes after the opening goal on Sunday in the first matchday. The visitors quickly took the lead with an early goal by Mougbaya before the first quarter of the game (13th, 0-1), but the Haitian player Fredlin Francois Monpremier, freshly arrived in Lebanon, set the record straight by equalizing even before the break (45th, 1-1).

After the break, SC Safa did not take advantage of their numerical superiority to overcome Tripoli SC and even conceded a second goal by Al Rawad in the 71st minute of play (1-2). The Eagles tried once again to get back into the game, but the end of the game did not offer a new goal.

After this defeat, the team of Al Safa Sporting Club is 4th with 0 points in the relegation group. Their next league match will be on Sunday, January 15 against Al Hikma at 12:15 pm.
