The Boston Celtics beat the defending champions Milwaukee Bucks this Sunday in the famous Game 7 (109-81) with 28 points difference and qualified from the Eastern Conference. At the beginning, this decisive game for the continuation of the 2022 play-offs should be very difficult for Jayson Tatum and his teammates. Very early in the first quarter, the Bucks seemed to take control of the game with a 10 min. lead. But the men of Ime Udoka completely reversed the trend with Grant Willimas who was phenomenal this Sunday night. The Houston native scored 27 points including 7 three-pointers, his greatest performance since his arrival in Boston in 2019. He also equaled the record of three points on a game 7 held by Marcus Morris and Stephen Curry.Very expected for this seventh game the Celtics super star Jayson Tatum was not at the top of his form this Sunday and was hampered by a problem of fouls to the point that his coach had to take him out of the game after his 4th foul. Jaylen Brown also answered the call by scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds in 37 minutes. On the Milwaukee Bucks side, who were without Khris Middleton, franchise player Giannis Antetokounmpo, scored 25 points at 10/26 shooting and grabbed 20 rebounds for 9 assists and 2 steals. Jrue Holiday scored 21 points but 0/6 at 3-points and distributed 8 assists while Brook Lopez added 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for 3 blocks. They unfortunately did not have the support of the rest of the team.
The Celtics will face the Heats of Jimmy Butler for a series of Eastern Conference Finals that already looks very exciting.
