In the first leg of the preliminary round of the Scotiabank CONCACAF League 2022 (SCL), Atletico Vega collapsed this Thursday night in its home of Cibao Stadium against CSD Municipal (4-0). The Reds of Municipal take a serious option on the qualification before the return match. The Haitian player Fritz-Gérald Gedna was a starter and played all the minutes for the hosts.

In the first leg of the preliminary round of the SCL 2022, the Dominican club of Atletico Vega Real did not make the weight this Thursday in front of the Guatemalans of CSD Municipal, victorious of 4-0 with a good César Archila author of a goal and an assist. Two goals by José Carlos Martínez Navas (28′) and César Eduardo Archila (35′) in the first half allowed the visitors to go back to the locker room with full confidence.

In the second half, Marlon Renato Sequen Suruy took a free kick from the left and lobbed it past the keeper (48′, 0-3). But at the very end of the game, in the additional minutes, Matias Rotondi completed the festival (90+1, 0-4).

After this victory, CSD Municipal is in a very favorable position to qualify for the round of 16 of the Scotiabank CONCACAF League. The return match will take place on Thursday, August 4, 2022 in Guatemala, at the Mateo Flores Stadium.
