On the floor of Quisqueya University, the Institute of Higher Commercial and Economic Studies (IHECE) won the final of the first edition of the university 3×3 basketball tournament organized by the Haitian Basketball Federation in collaboration with the Directorate of Student Affairs (DAE) this Wednesday, May 18, on the occasion of the flag day.

Four teams participated in this first edition: IHECE, UNIQ, UNDH, UNASMOH, and it is IHECE, as usual, which has just won the trophy of the first edition of the university 3×3 basketball tournament by beating the host team of the tournament, Quisqueya University (9-7) during the 219th anniversary of the Haitian bicolor.

The 4 teams played in a single pool format and IHECE swept all in its path to win the title of champion with a record of 70 points scored and 46 conceded. A perfect record for Ashley Prudent’s men. Woodly Ulysse, the player of IHECE finished the competition as MVP.

After the success of the tournament, the organizers expressed their satisfaction and their desire to work with universities to advance 3×3 basketball, announcing several tournaments in perspective.
