FC Metz played this Wednesday its last friendly match of winter preparation before the resumption of the Ligue 2 against SV 07 Elversberg, a German third division player, at the Frescaty training center. The match ended in a 2-1 success for the club from Metz with a goal from Danley Jean-Jacques.

After a black series of three friendly matches without victory, for 3 defeats, FC Metz finally found the taste of success by managing to overturn the leader of the German third division, the team SV 07 Elversberg on the occasion of its last friendly match of preparation before the resumption of the Ligue 2 played this Wednesday in France at the training center Frescaty.

SV 07 Elversberg opened the score at the end of the first half through the young Bremen native Nick Woltemade (43, 0-1). The garnets went back to the locker room with a one goal deficit.

At the end of the half, Làszló Bölöni decided to bring in Danley Jean-Jacques at the 46th minute of the game and this one offered the equalizer to his team a few minutes later (48′, 1-1) before Youssef Maziz, another newcomer, gave the victory to the local team at the very end of the game (88′, 2-1). A victory in the forceps, which is good for the morale of the group after three consecutive setbacks.

After the World Cup break, FC Metz will be back in Ligue 2 next Monday when they will receive Niort for the sixteenth day.
