Facing Atletico Ottawa this Sunday on the occasion of the fourteenth day of the Canadian Premier League, FC Forge fell at home against its opponent of the day (0-1). Two consecutive defeats that demoted the club to 3rd place.
After their defeat (0-1) against Valour last Wednesday, the teammates of the Haitian international defender Garven-Michée Metusela, started on the bench, had this Sunday a second defeat in a row against Atletico Ottawa, match of the fourteenth day of the Canadian first division of soccer, at the Tim Hortons Stadium. FC Forge were not as realistic throughout the game, and struggled to convert their chances, ultimately sinking without bringing home a point.
FC Forge was caught off guard by the visitors shortly after the final 15 minutes when Ollie Bassett scored in the 78th minute (0-1). Despite dominating 64% of the possession, the hosts could not get back on track. They fell for the fourth time in the championship. The Canadian-Haitian Woobens Pacius was in the starting line-up while Garven-Michée Metusela came back at the end of the game (86′).
FC Forge remains with 17 points but demoted to 4th place with 3 games in hand while Atletico Ottawa is second with 24 points tied with the leader Cavalry. For their next game, FC Forge will travel to York Lions Stadium to face York United.
