Edmonton FC could only manage a 1-1 draw against HFX Wanderers on the road in the seventeenth round of the Canadian Premier League. Bicou Bissainthe had a pretty good game in central defence for Edmonton.

The Edmonton-based club, on a two-game losing streak against Pacific (2-3) and Forge FC (1-5) respectively, managed to pick up a good point from their 1-1 draw at Wanderers. Bicou Bissainthe’s team-mates started well and it didn’t take long for them to take the lead. In the 19th minute, German player Tobias Warschewski opened the scoring with a penalty (19′,0-1). The hosts had to wait until the second half to equalise with a penalty converted by Samuel Salter in the 77th minute (1-1). This was the scoreline that ended the match.

With 11 points from 17 games, Edmonton still leads the pack of unranked teams. They will play Calvary on the road next Saturday at 6pm.
