Melaka United FC were beaten at home (1-2) by FC Johor DT on Saturday and have been eliminated from the quarter-finals of the FA Cup (Football Association of Malaysia Cup). Sony Nordé played the whole game and gave Melaka United a goal that was not enough to continue in the competition.

At Hang Jebat Stadium in the home of Melaka United FC, Sony Nordé and his partners are eliminated in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup (Football Federation of Malaysia Cup) after their defeat this Saturday morning against FC Johor DT (1-2). The Mouse Deer found themselves quickly down to a goal scored in the 4th minute of play through Ahmad Hazwan Bakri, with his head, following a corner kicked in the Remoise style (4′,0-1). Nothing more will be scored after the express goal of the visitors during this first period.

After the break, Hang Jebat’s team had to wait until the 84th minute of the game to find the equalizer by Sony Nordé, on a penalty that he himself had provoked (84′, 1-1), his second goal in the FA Cup. But in stoppage time, at the 90+3, from a new corner, this time taken by Muhammad Nazmi Faiz, the Brazilian Bergson Gustavo Silveira Da Silva crucified Melaka United to give the red and blue club the victory. The Southern Tigers will meet Penang FC in the last four of the competition
