Things are not going too well for Vitesse Arnhem. The Dutch club made a false start on Tuesday (1-2) against OFI Crete from Greece for its fifth and penultimate pre-season friendly match, played this Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the RKSV Stadium in Driel. This is their second loss in their last three pre-season tests before the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
After a first half in which both teams kept their goal untouched, in the second half it was the opposite. The Greek club scored two goals in the first ten minutes to finally unlock the scoreboard through Kosmas Tsilianidis (48′,0-1) who then turned into an assistant on the goal of Assane Diousse El Hadji (52′, 0-2). The latter scored his first goal for OFI Crete. Determined to come back into the game, Carlens Arcus’ teammates reduced the score at the (74′, 1-2) with a goal from Nikolai Baden Frederiksen, without being able to find the equalizer. The match ended with the score 2-1 in favor of the Greek club.
