The Ghanaian team won a hard-fought 3-2 victory over South Korea on Monday in Al Rayyan, in its second match in Group F. The Black Stars will play their future in the competition against Uruguay.

After an opening defeat against Portugal (2-3) on November 24, the Ghanaians have taken their revenge and are back in the race for qualification for the round of 16 of this World Cup in Qatar, thanks to a victory of 3 goals to two against the South Koreans. Ghana’s Mohammed Salisu Abdul Karim got his side on track in the 24th minute before Mohammed Kudus doubled the lead just before halftime. The Africans went into the locker room with a two goal lead.

As soon as the game resumed, business got tougher for Abedi Pele’s heirs as the Taegeuk Warriors metamorphosed, scoring back-to-back headed goals in three minutes by their number 9 Cho Gue-Sung (58′, 61). A few minutes later, Mohammed Kudus finally freed the Black Stars (68′, 2-3) to score his personal double. Score maintained until the final whistle.

With this success, Ghana totals 3 points and will play its qualification against the Celeste of Luis Suarez on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 10 am. South Korea (1 point), for its part, will face the same day Portugal of CR7, always at the same time.
